The DARE to CARE Youth Gathering
On Thursday 13 October from 3 to 6 pm, 200 young people aged 16 to 25 will meet in Oslo to explore together the science of empathy and compassion, how these qualities can be cultivated, and what benefits such qualities bring to the modern world.
This year for the first time, the Youth Gathering will be streamed internationally to English-speakers.
Young people will meet with outstanding scientists, psychologists, and other change makers, including Stanford University neurosurgeon James Doty, mental health professor Paul Gilbert, international peace-maker Scilla Elworthy, and call-for-care activist Brooke Dodson-Lavelle.
This 4th Youth Gathering, which previously took place in London and San Francisco, precedes the professional conference Empathy and Compassion in Society.
We would like to hear from secondary schools and universities interested in the streaming.
